You are definately correct, even interaction with fields in the womb, the child will integrate and make it a natural part of their being.

I have integrated fields in seeds and have the plants sprout with the new information integrated as a natural part of its being.

Most of the fields should last quite a while especially Dale's
100s + of years

yes of course, the field will also likely integrate with the child and become a natural part of its being.
yes the stone can influence multiple people. If you have a close loved one you are around often its likely they will feel some effects of the field.
for example,
a probable senario, if you have something that give you immortality by stoping your aging, its likely those around you often will notice they age a little slowler.
