is it necessary to print and scan the image? i mean what if i just write my name on the booster image using image editing software?

You could use image editing SW to write the trend on the attractror image. However, it would be more powerful and make a stronger impression on your subconscious mind if you physically write the trend and sign your name with intent and emotion. This act also imparts a part of yourself, your energy, your intent on to the image.
