There are other reasons in my case. I am interested in advanced knowledge and I think that beings who travel already through the galaxy have that.
Another reason is that I do not like being human. From my understanding and knowledge the body is just a vehicle to experience physical reality. However the human body almost always has some form of disease. Hardly anybody is completely healthy. It is not just that our environment is spoiled. The human genome has genetic flaws that causes the telomerase to shorten which then leads to aging. ETs have not only superior technology but they might also have near perfect bodies (through genetic engineering and selective breeding). Thus they could have a quality of life that is inaccessible to us and beyond what we can conceive of.
