From my own experience, there are several benefits of having this skill of dropping your brainwaves to deep theta level regularly:
1) It makes you calm and think clearly in any situation you are in;
2) Increased focus and concentration in whatever you do since you are using less mental energy as compared when you are in beta state;
3) Heightened intuition which makes you efficient in various circumstances you are in, especially in coming up with instant solutions popping up in how you think or feel whenever you encounter problems. I could not explain how this impulses/ideas occur, but it really works in locating something or how to solve difficulties one encounters daily.
