If would help if you could get the book "Mind machines you can build" by G. Harry Stein. He talks about the wishing machine in it and how he got it to work. He used it for healing in the book. That's one of the things that would be good to start with, when using a wish machine.
I never liked the name by the way, it makes it sound like some kind of incredible magic... and all the little device does is amplify your thoughts (which is just my opinion of how it works). But using the term "wish machine" really helps to sell it.... so from a salesman's point of view, that's one great name.
I do not know the limit of this device, even though I have used one before, I really can't tell you what you can't and can do.. It IS a fun device to play around with though, if you can get your hands on one, or buy one or make your yourself, I would go for it!
