I assume you're speaking of the instruction that come with Grow the Empire, and not the Adrenaline spell?

It's pretty important to do the "amp" spells.
Almost all the spells come with this feature-- as 60%-70% of the "work" is done by XM and the remaining % is done by whatever "amp" spell/extra work is given with it.

While Ultimate Charm works fairly well without it, it's still in there - the invocation "I bring the cosmic forces.....",
and then speaking with the servitor for help.

Yes, you can ask for "specific" help. Also realize that the other person has free will and the benefits may come for others who are more "amiable" than who you're specifically focused on.

So yes, I would strongly suggest doing the additional Empire spell every Wednesday.

The talisman can be shrunk.
I laminate mine, hole punch the top, and wear it/them on a necklace.

You might want to read the 2 fairly long XM-spells threads to gain further advice on shrinking.
The important thing is that it is in your aura a fair amount of time to transfer the energy/information to you.

The servitors look like balls of white light, that one can often "see" out of the corners of the eye.
(Most every entity is a "ball shaped" of energy in it's true form)

But, if and when, they do appear, they can appear in whatever form is going to make you feel most comfortable or that you are expecting.
