Here is a piece of conversation with Dale about how to shift into alternate realities, with or without the ring.
It expands a bit into what GT shared, and why that is a good approach.

Little changes happen each day, probably several times a day.
By focusing your intent on finding the "place" where something has already happened, and holding this intent conceptually for best results, you will come into tune with that event, and eventually shift to that world/reality.
Eventually will vary though. Small things that "almost happened anyway" are easy. A shirt being a different color should be doable for instance without too much trouble.
Massive Earth or societal changes do NOT take more external energy, you are just shifting your pattern a bit after all! The reason it seems harder is because we are entrained to this reality schema and a part of us naturally fights to keep it stable.
As you learn to focus and let go of reality, bigger changes become easier.
Basically, you need to become so in tune with the new reality that you do not question the changes made. Note them? Obviously! How else would we ever know anything happened?
But it should not be surprising or strange to you in concept. It is what was and what you accept, so it is....
I find it helps if I let go of the reality scheme totally, which we all do when we sleep, hence not remembering sleeping.
Well, most people don't, I do sometimes and have for years, a side effect of the deep level meditation. It's not magic though, I just know that I am in a delta brainwave state and can figure out that I am actually asleep at times.
Now I just need to figure out how to exercise in that state.
Making best use of sleep time and all.
Take care friend.
