Folker Meissner, MD

Teacher of acupuncture and bioenergetics, holistic practitioner, founder of German Academy for Energy Medicine and Bioenergetics

Folker Meissner began as a general practitioner and medical trainer in Germany in 1980. He went on to study acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine and by 1997, was teaching acupuncture at the German and European Academy of Acupuncture.

Although chakra-based acupuncture and bioenergetic elimination of FODs are his specialty, Dr. Meissner also uses quantum-medical measuring of the human body field, homeopathy, natural health care methods, neuro-linguistic programming and EFT, emotional freedom techniques.

Through his research, Dr. Meissner developed a bioenergetic method of identifying and eliminating what he determined is the cause of chronic illnesses and disorders. These origins of ill health are what he calls the foci of disturbance (FOD).

At his holistic medicine clinic near Bonn, he performs about 3,000 treatments per year, helping many people suffering from long-term diseases regain their health.

In 2006 he founded the German Academy for Energy Medicine and Bioenergetics, a forum where physicians and nonmedical therapists come together to create a training platform for energy medicine and bioenergetic practitioners.

Dr. Meissner serves on the scientific board of the International Academy of Bioenergetics. He has developed a diploma course for bioenergetic health coaches and conducts seminars and online trainings.
