GENERAL OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES
H
ippocampus Institute’s head quarter is located at Budapest, capital of Hungary. Our research and educational activity is conducted in cooperation with several European Universities and other research institutes, though development and manufacturing of medical diagnostic and therapeutic devices take place in Hungary.
As the biophysical approach gains a wider acceptance in the scientific and medical communities, and among the public; the institute has shown very dynamic development since its inception in the summer of 1993. The demand for non-invasive health care, and scientific research probing hitherto unknown or ignored aspects of biology, is rising rapidly. The Hippocampus Institute is internally integrated to research, develop, manufacture and explore through a unique infrastructure of activities:
SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
MEDICAL AND BIOLOGICAL EDUCATION
DEVELOPMENT OF NEW MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC & THERAPEUTIC DEVICES
Scientific Research
Our scientific research and publication are focused on fundamental biophysical research and the use of electromagnetic biocommunication in diagnosis and therapy.
In contributing to the emerging field of biological information processing and transmission, investigations were carried out using electromagnetic bio-communication for: gerontological, epigenetic, oncogenetic, oncological, neurological, immunological, and radiobiological studies. We have investigated the effect of the human electromagnetic field and human intentionality on various processes, including chemical oscillations. By employing chaos theory and quantum field theory, we have elaborated the theoretical models of the “natural selectivity” by describing the mechanisms of information processing in biological systems. These studies, and the new understanding brought about by them, have led to the development of the methods for biological information transduction.
Our research team is active in scientific research for and on behalf of international organizations and can be approached for research in the following fields: In vitro/In vivo, basic research, immunology, rehabilitation, oncology, gerontology, allergology, physical-chemistry, physics and homeopathy. Our fields of research are vast and so we can always be approached for research into other fields not detailed.
The synthesis of the scientific investigations and holistic medical activity is in our role in the development of a unified holistic approach in science. Representing Hippocampus Institute, Gabor Lednyiczky was invited to participate in the Institute of Noetic Sciences’ workgroup on Direct Mental & Healing Interactions on Living Systems, which is focused on:
“The study of direct interactions of consciousness with the physical world through explorations of the nature, magnitude, possible limits, and practical significance of physiological and of their effects that can be produced mentally and at a distance, using skills of attention, intentionality, and imagery. Promising new and continued lines of research, theoretical explanations, implications, possible practical applications (especially in the area of health and well being), and societal impacts are examined. Our purpose is to better understand the domain of nonlocal interconnections between person, and between persons and other living and nonliving systems.”
- from Marilyn Schlitz, Director of Research, Institute of Noetic Sciences
Representatives of Hippocampus have also been invited to participate in the core research group of the Club of Budapest. By participating in the core research group’s activities, we are aiding the Club of Budapest’s goal of world peace through the investigation of consciousness.
“.. . an informal association of creative people in diverse fields of art, literature, and the spiritual domains of culture, dedicated to the proposition that only by changing ourselves can we change our world - and that to change ourselves we must deepen our thinking and extend our horizons: we must revolutionize our consciousness. The revolution of today’s consciousness is perhaps the last, and certainly the best, hope for a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world.”
- from Ervin László, President of the Club of Budapest
With the increasing recognition of the importance of Hippocampus’ investigations, universities and institutions are cooperating in our efforts. Several institutes of the National Academy of Science of the Ukraine are working jointly with us, as well as Mae-Wan Ho’s workgroup at the Open University, U.K., and the Geraldine Brush Cancer Research Foundation in San Francisco.
