· Some Energetic Characteristics of Cancers
By the 1990’s I had realized that cancer, whether malignant or not, was really a progressive (and possibly irreversible) breakdown of the body field function. The reasons for this were not then known. And just a little has been uncovered even now. Most of the body field as we know it now, was unknown then, too.
Science loves repeatability, but I could not see any absolute repetition of the same identical errors in the body field, although some of them did occur very regularly but not in the same configuration. There were certainly spots that went wrong a great deal of the time. I marked them in red at the time so I would notice them. Scientists studying cancer had already decided that something was accelerating the mutation rate of the human DNA to cause so many errors that cancer appeared. This was common knowledge after 1974. Naturally I had never heard of this research. The outback of
Reid was inclined to think differently from everyone else, so he very was careful not to pollute my mind with medical and genetics research about cancer. His own ideas I never really found out, except that he was a basic scientist going way back to first principles. Reid is represented in
Reid was interested in how homeopathy worked and very much like the idea of information transfer as it is known in homeopathy. He had scandalised his medical colleagues in
Reid was in fact captivated by the idea of something going wrong with a basic part of the particle physics of the body, especially of the electron. The genetics people had had, by then, studied cancer for over sixty years, and had failed totally to come up with an even slightly convincing theory about cancer. By convincing, I mean one that matched the basic things we know about cancer. These I shall mention soon.
I was as scandalized by the Reid ideas as you are, I am sure. Never a day passes without our ideas about cancer being reinforced by the medical lobby in the newspapers. It amounts to mass propaganda that has little basis. All propaganda has to have an element of truth…but in the case of cancer there is a great element of fear present which, as Goebbels found out, is useful when doing propaganda.
So I found out some of the energetic characteristics of cancer. In its early stages, this almost completely non-diagnosable disease begins with notable mental characteristics of withdrawal, wanting to be alone, and above all resistance to help. This we can find out about from those who have studied it, like W. Reich. Some modern doctors don’t think mental characteristics are important for anything, and try to treat them as chemical abnormalities. Emotions you know are chemicals. Reich found emotions cause great upheavals in the psyche, and can express themselves as vibration, heat and noise. His books on psychotherapy were, in the 1960’s burnt by the
In the sequence of cancer development, after the emotional blockage occurs, the splanchnic nerves are affected. The spinal nerves going to the organ get inflamed and cease to work correctly long before the cancer develops. Does this mean that the DNA representing the nervous tissues of this particular type are more likely to develop errors than others? Well, I don’t think so!
Another characteristic of the development of cancer is the appearance of viruses. There are certain types that are found more than others, but the hard fact is that they don’t appear right in the place where the cancer actually appears in some cases. But there has been a great deal of work done over forty years showing links between the appearances of bacteria and viruses in the body and the appearance of cancers.
Human Papilloma Virus ( HPV) is one of these families of viruses that appears in breast cancer, as well as prostate and cervical cancer. Of over 74 types of this virus already found, only handful are present when there is malignant cancer. So some types are “worse” others. Efforts have been made in the last few years to inoculate people against these half dozen strains of HPV.
I found myself in a controversial area of medicine where its pet theories failed year after year, and where the political landmines were quite terrifying. I had gone to social events with Professor Singer where appallingly rude cancer experts of the most medical variety would turn on their heels and walk away from me after even the most polite introductions by the Professor himself. Why are they so afraid? We shall see why.
Singer took me aside while we walked along the beach at Merimbula (one of the world’s great beach walks), and pointed out that if we were successful in getting a new diagnostic machine for breast or any other cancer, we would be up against a gigantic industry already invested in other methods. I thought quietly to myself that surely the situation would be changed by karma: that in fact the families of the medicine barons got cancer as often as any other social group. I still believe this.
Nonplussed socially, I went on studying what little there was to study outside of things related to genetics about cancer. Slowly it emerged that a key energetic characteristic of cancer was that it has a temperature of up to one degree centigrade higher than surrounding tissues of the normal type. Did the cancer, I wondered, have a higher metabolic rate than other tissues? If so, did the genetics errors cause this?
Reid did not think genetics errors caused anything. Unless, of course, we had a specific genetic error that caused a specific cancer! That did not happen at all in genetics. So he looked at the way in which the body regulates its temperature, and it turned out, I found, that it is simply not understood how humans, together will all other warm-blooded creatures, breaks one of the fondest ideas in physics concerning the behaviour of heat: the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Heat, the physicists say, dissipates itself, whereas in life, it concentrates itself. Entropy does not go with biology.
Forget metabolic rate! What if the cancer is disobeying some rule about arrangement of subatomic particles that means more heat is created? Exactly how it is that living things create heat is open to great conjecture once the text books are done away with? If Tibetan monks can make heat by breathing and humming, then the text books should include this fact, and leave out the part about the chemical that causes heat production in the cell.
Reid pointed out that the immune system should be able to engulf any reasonably sized cancer within three to five days, and simply remove it. Did you know that? Any reasonable person would say, “Well, why don’t you get the immune system to work again?” Since early in the twentieth century we have known about immuno-suppression, supposed at that time, around 1905, to be “caused” by the presence of certain viruses, and sure enough, in the case of cancer there is almost always a virus present that is chronic, and can only remain in the body because there is immuno-suppression. But what about immuno-suppresion that is not general, and applies only to a certain part of the body? The place where the cancer actually is? Curious, yet true in the case of cancer.
What, I thought, if there was a body field that could switch the immune system to the “on” or “off ” positions merely by there being an error that could do this in the case of cancer. I always got annoyed by silly natural therapists who thought you could “boost” immunity. You can’t. It is “on” or “off”. And here we were in one of the countries with the best food in the world―middle-class whites in Australia―worrying about nutrition. I discounted the idea of a nutritional cause of cancer, and accepted it as a cause of things like rickets and scurvy. Reid was inclined, I think, to agree.
